Introduction to Black Classical Composers and Musicians.

 —  —

Online

As a violinist who happens to be African American, I grew up not knowing about ANY classical music composers or musicians (maybe Andre Watts) of African descent until I was in college! That’s roughly 18 years of my life not seeing anyone who looked like me who contributed majorly to this genre. While I throughly enjoy the music of Brahms, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, just to name a few, It would have helped me to know of African/African American representation in the field I’ve come to love.

I want to again teach my Intro to Black composers and musicians class! The cost is $85 per FAMILY! And $60 per person! The online platform will be Zoom!
